Just a reminder, if you haven’t checked them out yet, you can read my latest stories “Banner of Blood” and “The Thrones of Lumindor” absolutely free right here on my blog. They are stories set far back before Fist La’brau and give a little historical perspective to the mosaic of Fist’s cosmos.
At the moment I am reading the longest piece of work from the archives of H.P. Lovecraft, the novella “At the Mountains of Madness”. Thus far I am thoroughly impressed far beyond my expectations as I am about halfway through it. At first I thought it was going to be a hard read but as it went along, the story began to grow into epic proportions and I can hardly fathom how much farther it will expand in depth and breadth. As soon as I am done, I will write a review.
I am working on a short story to submit to Sword and Sorcery Magazine online. It has to be less than 6,000 words so I am having to work hard to keep the count trim. The story revolves around Siernod’s future, includes a suspense riddled adventure, and will conclude with some rather deep dark fates.
I am also working on a novel continuing the life of Fist La’brau. I am trying, I say trying, to keep the short stories to a minimum so I can focus on the novel project. Currently, I am trying to get the kickoff chapter dead on to set the tone of the entire story. I am getting more pleased as I lay stones. I can’t tell you much more at this time as it would spoil the fun.
I have to remind you to check out the work I am proudest of this year, the release of my paperback “Shadows of Siernod”. It is available to get your copy now. Later in the year or early next year, “Flames of Palamarr” should also be available in paperback.
