It has been a while since we have seen new tales or even news concerning the chronicles of our favorite rugged fantasy hero. “Unchained” has been penned as I mentioned about a month ago but I have a lot of projects going on these days that have sidetracked me from some of my writing and editing. Don’t worry, the fire still burns for Fist and his latest series, Flames of Palamarr. I got some editing done last weekend and hope to have the latest hair-raising adventure out very soon.
Remembering where we left off, in “Ghosts in the Mist” Fist and Lyrum end up in a sky-born odyssey over the ruined realm of Sechdomayhn that eventually leaves them grounded in a barbarian village. There they discovered the secrets of the ghosts in the mist and embarked upon a voyage with a bizarre captain of a ghost ship looking for the next city where they might find the amber they need to hopefully fuel the conjuring of a magical gate back to their home realm, Siernod.
Teamed up with this captain and a fiery warrioress of the ground folk, Fist and Lyrum hope to someday return home. However, expect a little sidetracking in “Unchained” where Fist gets into a little trouble with the locals and Lyrum frantically resorts to anything he can to try to save his friend from peril. Young Lyrum’s mettle is tested as he must rely upon life’s lessons to survive dire situations and employ diplomacy at every turn while fighting worry and fear. Lyrum’s story is about fear and faith. The question is, will Lyrum’s faith overcome his fears and is his faith based on realistic expectations? Will the chains that bind hold and what happens if the chains are broken? It could spell the end of things as we know them. Find out soon when the tense filled fantasy drama “Unchained” is released in e-book format.
