Kevin Durant Teaches NY Streetballers a Thing or Two

Kevin played some streetball recently at what is probably the nation’s most famous street ball park, Rucker Park. He scored 66 points dropping nine of eleven three-pointers on the outdoor Harlem court, many way outside the normal NBA three point range. Other NBA stars have shown up at Rucker’s to play a game of street ball in the past but few have gotten the attention that the Oklahoma City Thunder star got on Tuesday. The court record was set at 74 by a streetball legend if you were curious about that. Durant, the former Texas Longhorn star, led the DC Power team against the Sean Bell Allstars to a 99 to 93 win.

Things are looking good for Kevin Durant. In a few years, when he fills out, gets stronger, and expands his skills, he is really going to be a force to deal with. It seemed he became a little lost in the fray in some of the stretch when he was double teamed. But, part of those problems could be attributed to the fact that when double-teams occur, others have to step up and make the consequences painful and that did not always occur.
